This course is suitable for Forklift Truck Instructors who have been previously certified. This is an intensive 5 day programme that requires significant study. Participants undergo training on instructional techniques, workplace hazards, forklift operator testing, theory and practice. The course is very popular and generally books out. Early booking is advisable.

Who should attend?

Certificated Forklift Truck Instructors who have been previously certified (duration of qualification is for a 5 year period).This certificate must not have expired for more than a 1 year period. Candidates should also have been instructing and using their skills on an on-going basis.

English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter they may do so but prior notice must be given to Nifast.

Methods of training

The course is based on classroom methods and practical lessons on Fork Lift Trucks.Participants are videotaped during presentations and are continuously assessed on their level of knowledge and ability in both theory and practical instruction on Fork Lift Trucks.

Pre-Course Requirements

• Forklift Truck Instructors who have been previously certified (duration of qualification is for a 5 year period). This certificate must not have expired for more than a 1 year period. During this one year period candidates cannot instruct.
  Candidates should also have been instructing and using their skills on an on-going basis.

Assessment/Certification

Participants complete a theoretical and practical exam

On successful completion of the exam participants are awarded a Nifast Forklift Instructor Refresher Certificate. Forklift Truck Instructor Certificates are valid for five years.Instructors should undergo refresher training within this period in order to renew their qualification.Instructors are not permitted to instruct if their certificate is out of date.
