Course Details

It is well established that many people are exposed to harmful levels of noise at work. Unless properly protected, they may suffer from irreparable hearing damage.

Exposure to occupational noise is covered by the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2007: Part 5, Chapter 1 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 2007. Under this legislation, employers must assess the risk associated with noise, and reduce the risk to as low as reasonably practicable.  Workers at risk must be provided with appropriate noise training, to include; the nature of the risk; the potential effects of noise exposure; noise control techniques; the correct use of hearing protection.

Please note that this course will not qualify an individual to become competent to assess and manage occupational noise in the workplace.
