Course commences at 8.15 a.m. sharp – 5.00 p.m.

Mileage is charged @ €0.50 per kilometre and accommodation @ €110 per night for all courses outside Dublin and Cork.

Course Details

This course is for all construction site and local authority workers (including apprentices and trainees) to ensure that they have a fundamental knowledge of health and safety.

Essentially any worker who alters, interferes or changes a building must in time have a Safe Pass card. The requirement applied to all workers in the construction sector on 01/06/03 last. Cards must be refreshed every four years.

Participants can attend the nifast Safe Pass course at either of our training centres in Dublin and Cork. This programme can also be conducted on an in-company basis at clients` premises or other venue. As nifast must register participants with FAS two weeks prior to attending the course it is advisable to book early (per person cost of €19).

Objectives

  • Supply all participants with a FÁS Safe Pass Registration card, indicating that the holder has attended a formal course in health and safety awareness

English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter they may do so but prior notice must be given to nifast.

Pre-Course Requirements
Participants must have a good working knowledge of the English language. Courses can be delivered in languages other than English through prior arrangement with nifast and where all participants on the same course speak the same language.

Assessment/Certification
Participants complete a written exam.
On successful completion of the exam participants will be issued with a FÁS Safe Pass card.

  • Delegates who arrive late will unfortunately not be permitted to complete the programme
  • All participants must bring a passport photo of themselves for their Safe Pass Registration card
